For artist Zhao Lei (b.1983), time cuts life into three equal sequences, drifting between the past, the present and the future, between reality and illusion. Past experiences are entangled with worldly feelings; future dreams are the judgement of the present. Zhao sketches out the parallel worlds. These may be personal experiences, false memories, or some imagination of the future, but they all inevitably live in this world.
