Born and raised in Hong Kong, artist Ryan San spent many years in ancient streets and alleys in Chaoshan, Guangdong. On one side is Hong Kong, which is overcrowded with tall buildings and extremely western international urbanization, while on the other hand is the traditional conservative Chinese culture of human relations. His works are influenced by the combinations of Chinese and Western cultures.
