Naoki Sakai (b.1973) is a metalwork artist whose passion is the conversion from function to beauty then reconstructing that beauty to form new functions. Working under the theme, “Bring Metal into Everyday Life!”, he creates items that harmonize with contemporary spaces. Sakai holds a Ph.d. in Metal Hammering from the Tokyo University of the Arts.
