Gerard Clisson France Gerard Clisson’s (b.1942) work is best described as "constructive destruction". In local woodwork shops, he recovers strips of medium that he transforms in his own workshop. Painted or natural, and of indeterminate widths, these industrial materials are manufactured to exact standards and destroyed for his creations. With colors creating a real dynamic, there is zen in Clisson’swork- sometimes like the furrows raked in the gravel of a Japanese garden. |
