Galina Brando and Alexander Abramov are the artist couple “GALASASCHA”. Visually oriented apparitions of the quasi-fictional faces inspired the artists to the oil painting series “The Face”. The portrait series is influenced by many aesthetic connections and cultural context. They create a visual cocktail in which the ingredients are references and reflections on contemporary media, art history and the private sphere of both artists.
