Dinh Ngoc Thang (b.1974) had a hard childhood in rural countryside of Northern Vietnam. For that reason, he feels strongly about the beauty of the landscape and the people of Vietnam, especially the lives of workers. Thang's subjects revolve around highland ethnic people and the life of poor people as he demonstrates romance, humanity, and the inner struggle of modern women.
