ABOUT THE ARTIST
Park Sung Ok (b.1981) searches for her true identity through her art. The girls depicted in her work are the projection of the artist’s identities and alter egos. The artist seeks to understand and visualize her true self. Every time she encounters the self, she questions whether it is a modified alter ego or an unvarnished ego. The subtle shades and dreamlike quality of her work resonate with many viewers.
