ABOUT THE ARTIST
Shin Younghun uses Korean ink on various Korean mediums, such as cotton, rice paper and linen. His works convey an idea of different angles we look at “ourselves” in reality. His works create the mood of softness and tenderness in female portraits because of the use of ink. Both rough and delicate brushstrokes bring inner emotion and make the gesture and facial expression alive.
