ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kim Minsu wishes for good fortune through brushstrokes as if carrying out a ritual. Then he hopes that the viewer interprets the work based on their individual desire for luck. Kim Minsu obsessively employs the color red in his work, the color of warmth, life, and passion. The aspiration for wealth and fortune is embodied in straightforward visual language through the artist’s work that spans both conventional and modern figuratives.
