ABOUT THE ARTIST
Gao Yi’s (b.1981) works contain the elements of Chinese ink painting: freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese style and techniques, simple calligraphy, and a breakthrough in color and content. Gao’s works present a strong visual impact, forming a brand-new visual experience. Gao is a member of China National Painting and Calligraphy Institute and Calligraphers Association, Calligraphy Research Institute of Jiangsu Province, and an Executive Director of the Chinese Anacoluthia Calligraphy Association.
