ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dong Jian is one of China’s most popular realist artists. His “Lost Landscapes” series, started in 2010, features black-and-white subjects covered by colourful stripes intended to “awaken” the works. When not painting and exhibiting in China and abroad, Dong Jian teaches art at the Xian University of Technology and the Xian Academy of Fine Arts.
