ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jiman Park’s “Learning to fly” series represents the artist’s dream of flying towards freedom and hope which will be achieved someday by learning to fly day by day. Park’s technique is to paint and wipe with cloths and cotton swabs. Wiping for her means taking something out of things that exist and painting means adding things onto nothing.
