Yu Sheng-Reui (b.1986) explores how two-dimensional micro realistic paintings can express light, illuminate space, and present symbolic concepts. In his “Luminous Research” series, Yu tries to take a variety of characters with the connection of light and shade to express a complicated life experience which the past and present has intertwined in his own life, the series had won him the "Foxconn Newcomer Award".
