ABOUT THE ARTIST
Yea-Hwan AN (b.1958) uses traditional coloring techniques in a modern way using cacti, cloth, the space and the moon to paint her identity and the meaning of life. Also experienced in Jegi (utensils for ancestral rites), Hanji (Korean traditional paper) and abstract paintings, her technique involves coloring on Hanji and drying it at least 20 times.
