ABOUT THE ARTIST

Shigeru Nishikawa (b.1977) draws buildings and cities under construction, showing how cities expands vertically and horizontally. Inspired by the structure and color of the skyscrapers in Hong Kong and Tokyo, for example, the artist finds something that had been there before to be destroyed and then made into something new and hopes that the activity on his canvas will reflect the changing world and human workings.
