ABOUT THE ARTIST
Lau Chin Hung (b.1953) grew up in Hong Kong and received a scholarship to study Fine Arts in France in 1977. His iconic “ floating cabbage in the sky” motif is similar to the idea of “the beginning of chaos” in Chinese Taoist belief. His works are particularly popular with collectors and he recently has enjoyed much success at Sotheby’s (1992) and Christie’s (1994, 2006, 2007).
