Chen Yong (b.1982) is a professional painter, muralist, and potter. Yong obtained his bachelor’s degree from the China Academy of Art and furthered his studies at the Kyoto City University of Art. Inspired by his appreciation of traditional Chinese and Japanese painting, he mixes them while using a very modern color scheme. Yong is behind the viral Social Peppa Pig series where he combined Chinese painting with cartoon characters.
